YSU Students interview for jobs with area employers
YOUNGSTOWN STATE UNIVERSITY - More than 175 Youngstown State University students are interviewing
with area employers on Friday, April 13 during the Spring 2007 Business/Engineering Interview Day
from
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Chestnut Room/Kilcawley Center. Business and engineering students
and alumni will have the opportunity to interview with more than 60 employers for both internships
and full-time positions. More than 43% of WCBA graduates complete an internship through the assistance
of the Professional Practice Program, located in the Advisement Center of the Williamson College of
Business Administration. The internships are often short-term, project-specific work opportunities
that allow students to earn college credits toward graduation. Students gain "hands-on career experience"
in their major area, which enhances their professional resume.
Participating companies include public accounting firms, state and local government, public
relations agencies, Fortune 500 corporations, marketing firms, brokerage firms, banks, investment
groups, manufacturing companies, consulting firms, non-profit organizations and retail establishments.
Companies and organizations interested in learning more about internship and cooperative education
opportunities should contact Gwenn Clark, Coordinator of Professional Practice Program in the Williamson
College of Business Administration, at (330) 941-3660.
