WCBA Advisement Center

     The WCBA offers a variety of courses in marketing, management, finance, and accounting.  The school offers certificate programs in Entrepreneurship and Nonprofit Leadership.  Majors include Accounting, Advertising and PR, Business Economics, Finance, General Administration, Human Resource Management, International Business, Marketing Management, Management Information Systems.

STUDENTS DESIRING TO PURSUE A CAREER IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS should follow the Individualized Curriculum Program (I.C.P.) for International Business.  The program consists of General Education Requirements, Business Core Courses and courses such as International Business, International Marketing, and International Trade. Students are also required to complete a functional specialization in Accounting and Finance, Management, or Marketing and a foreign language sequence.

The WCBA Advisement Center is located on the 4th floor in Williamson Hall (Building 29 on the campus map).

 

Center for International Studies and Programs (CISP)

     The CISP is an integral part of the Academic Affairs Division of YSU.  The CISP serves as a focal point for the university’s many international initiatives, including international exchange agreements, faculty international development, and matters of international policy. In particular, the Center is responsible for the following programs and services:

  • International Student and Scholar Programs including recruitment, orientation, support services, and activities, as well as compliance with federal regulations concerning international students and scholars.
  • Study Abroad Programs including advising students on the countless opportunities to add an international dimension to their YSU educational experiences.
  • English Language Institute offering English as a Second Language classes to students preparing to enroll in an academic program, as well as for members of the Youngstown community who desire to improve their fluency in English.

The CISP is located on the 1st floor in Jones Hall (Building 6 on the campus map).

 

The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, YSU

  • Majors in French, Italian, Interdisciplinary Italian and Spanish.
  • Minors in French, French Studies, Ancient Greek Studies, Italian, Italian Studies, Latin Studies, Russian Studies, Spanish and Spanish Language and Cultures
  • Multi-Age Teaching Licensure, through the Beeghly College of Education in French, Italian and Spanish.
  • Beginning and Intermediate classes in German and Swahili

The Department of FL&L is located on the 5th floor in DeBartolo Hall (Building 9 on the campus map).
